ROBERT BARON is the founder and president of American Real Estate Executive Search Company and is based in New York City.

With 13 years of real estate search experience, Mr. Baron has completed over 700 searches throughout the real estate lifecycle including land acquisition, development, construction, leasing, property management, asset/portfolio management, property acquisitions, debt (origination, underwriting, workouts), corporate real estate, investor relations, and fund marketing.  Moreover, he has worked with clients during up and down cycles in the industry.

Mr. Baron is also founder and president of BCGI Real Estate Executive Search, a premier real estate only search specialist covering the Canadian market.

Mr. Baron’s previous experience includes investment sales with CB Richard Ellis (formerly CB Commercial Real Estate) and real estate corporate finance at CIBC World Markets (formerly CIBC Wood Gundy Real Estate).

Robert is a frequent speaker at conferences and university real estate programs on the topic of recruiting, retention and career strategy, and a participant in NAIOP, PREA, ULI, CORENET, ICSC, CMSA, RealShare, and NAREIT.

Robert holds a BA from the University of Western Ontario and a MBA from the Rotman School at the University of Toronto.
